Car audio installation is to upgrade or enhance a car’s factory stereo system. Drivers usually fall into one of two categories: those who want to upgrade their car stereo for sound quality and those who want loud, car-shaking bass. Copy should appeal to both audiences.
Components of a car audio system can include: deck (radio, CD player, etc.), speakers, amp(s), (sub)woofers, tweeters. Car audio systems can be customized to suit the particular listening style, vehicle, and needs of each individual customer.
Car audio extras can include satellite radio and iPod integration (systems that enable you to listen to your iPod through your car stereo). iPod integration is NOT an FM transmitter, but actual hard-dock integration interfaces that offer easy operation and static-free sound.
Custom installation is generally an important point. Systems can be OEM-look or factory, that is look like they’ve been there all along, or exotic, which are the more showpiece installations. Custom installation can include:
- custom fiberglass
- custom dashes
- custom upholstery
- custom lighting
- custom enclosures (for speakers, woofers, and tweeters)
Most exotic car audio installations also include mobile video components.
